Filling with water:
•
Fully open the high point air traps and valves.
•
Fill the system with water.
•
Run the pumps.
•
Check the circuit for leaks (pressure gauges).
•
Drain the water through the system’s lowest point in order to remove dirt, scale, and other impurities from the pipes and which could clog the coil.
•
If the water has been treated, test its pH. We recommend injecting an If it had been treated, check water condition (pH). We recommend adding a scale and corrosion inhibitor
to the system.
•
Refill the system with water then turn off the pumps and completely purge the system of air.
•
Seal any leaks found on the couplings.
Check of the fluids
•
Check the pressures and temperatures of the fluids, the adjustment of the control instruments and the balancing of the circuits.
6. EVAPORATIVE HUMIDIFIER (HR)
Clean the tank to remove dust created during assembly.
•
Check the pump’s direction of rotation.
•
Adjust the water level in the tank. It should be 1 cm below the overflow.
Adjusting the
blowdown water
flow rate
Start-up carried out without a
water analysis or water softening
system.
For reasons of safety, the flow
rate of the blowdown water must be
equal to that of the evaporated
water (see table below) after one
month’s operation. Follow the
blowdown purge instructions below
to reduce excessive water
consumption.

Use the table above to determine whether a water softening system is necessary.
If a water softener is not used, the blowdown water flow rate must be adjusted based on the water quality after one month’s operation.
Check the flow rate of the blowdown water each time work is carried out on the water supply system, the water softener, or the humidifier.
