Assembly instructions
Follow the instructions below to ensure correct operation of the coil and to protect it from damage:
Wherever possible, the coil must be positioned so that both fluids (air and water or steam) flow counter-current to each other.
The system is designed for this type of flow, which is achieved when air enters through the side from which the other fluid exits
and vice versa. TWO INSTALLATION OPTIONS.
In the case of coils supplied with steam, the pipes must always be located on the top portion of the coil and the discharge pipe
on the bottom portion.
These pipes must be fitted with expansion devices.
The steam must be dry saturated, i.e. free of any water droplets. The steam supply pipe must be fitted with a separator and the
discharge pipe with a thermostatic or float trap.
To avoid water hammer in the case of stacked units, all precautions must be taken to ensure a normal flow of condensate from
each unit.
The piping system must be held in place by supports that are not connected to the COIL.
COILS exposed to freezing temperatures in the winter must be drained completely (fit a drain valve on the water inlet pipe).
If the coils are to be operated during the winter (heating coils) and draw in outdoor air, the standard precautions must be taken to
protect them (frost damper, frost protection thermostat that shuts off the fan and opens the heating valve, etc.). The temperature
of the COILS delivered must not rise to levels that could modify the properties of the metal or lead to distortion or weakening.
All welding carried out on the UNIT outside our own facilities or by non-CIAT personnel will automatically void our warranty. Seal
off pipe entries with sealing compound or adhesive tape.
