4. ASSEMBLY
The various components that make up the air handling unit must be assembled in the direction of the air flow (e.g. mixing box
or filter towards the fan section).
In addition to instructions given in the preceding pages, the following general considerations as well as the special points
applicable to each type of unit must be taken into account during assembly.
General
In the case of units delivered assembled, check the overall level and tightness of all nuts and bolts.
Unit assembly
In the case of units delivered as separate sections, insert the self-adhesive seals before assembling the sections together.
Use bolts if access is possible on both sides of the coupling frame, either through a door or by via a removable front panel.
Insert screws in the factory fitted captive nuts if access is limited to one side.
MASTAIR air handling unit assembly details
Each section is fitted with top and bottom rails. The bottom rails are fitted with lifting lugs marked CE.
Assembling the sections together: A coupling frame is factory fitted to one of the sections. Fasten the following section to this
frame. Fasten the vertical members of the section to the frame via the outside and the horizontal members of the frame via the
inside.
Threaded rods between the top rails and the bottom rails ensure that the sections are correctly sealed and aligned with each
other.
