Section 2: Installation and Setup
NOTICE!
DO NOT touch the optical mirror with your bare hands. Fingerprints left on the surface can
impact the quality of a displayed image. Wear the lint free cotton gloves provided in the User’s Kit.
5. Install a cable cover (from the outside) over each opening used to route cables from one projector to the
next in the display wall. The cable openings are located on the side panels, near the bottom of the cube
(
).
2.2.2 Step 2 - Unpacking and Stabilizing Screens
Allowing screens to stabilize increases the chance of maintaining the screen gap set during installation. To
prevent a screen from getting scratched or tipping over, lean it against a wall or flat surface in an area which is
away from the cube installation and in a low traffic area. DO NOT lay screens flat.
Preparing Screens for Installation
1. Wearing the lint free cotton gloves provided in the
User’s Kit
, remove the screen from its packaging.
2. To stabilize the screens, let them stand vertically for at least 24 hours at the installation site. For maximum
benefit, let the screen stabilize to ambient site conditions for up to 14 days prior to installation.
2.2.3 Step 3 - Unpacking and Preparing Projectors for Installation
RPMX/SP-D132U / RPMSP-D180U
The projector is shipped fully assembled in a lens-vertical configuration.
1. Remove all packaging surrounding the projector.
NOTES:
1) Keep packaging for at least one projector, in the event that a projector is returned to the factory
for servicing or replacement. Discard the rest of the packaging. 2) Keep the L-shaped bracket if you are
installing your projector in a lens-horizontal installation. Otherwise it can be discarded.
2. Check all cable connections between modules of the projector. If required, see
tighten loose cables.
