3. Unscrew the 4 screws on the side of the tool head.
4. Remove the tool head from the machine.
5. Replace the tool head when machine is set up at
new location.
Preparing for Cleaning
Planning
The area to be cleaned should be reviewed to deter-
mine the most efficient cleaning plan to minimize turns
and utilize power outlets advantageously.
If you have a rectangular room:
• Establish a path down the length of the room, overlap-
ping each pass by a minimum of 2 inches.
If you have an irregularly shaped room:
• Establish a path down the length of the room at the
longest point, overlapping each pass by a minimum of
2 inches.
Vacuuming
Vacuuming is very important to the maintenance of
carpet. Vacuuming removes the dry soil; loose dust, dirt
and soil before it is worked down into the carpet. Built
up soil is much more difficult to clean out of the carpet.
Pre-Spraying
Doorways and other heavy traffic areas will require
additional maintenance and care. Pre-spraying these
areas prior to cleaning will allow the chemicals addi-
tional time to work.
Spotting
The difference between a spot and a stain is how long
it sits on the floor. Pre-vacuuming provides an excellent
opportunity to locate and pre-treat spots.
