Check the brake fluid level in the front brake master
cylinder and in the rear brake cup before each use of
the ATV. The front brake master cylinder is located on
the right handlebar. The rear brake cup is near the rear
brake pedal.
The front brake fluid level can be seen through an
indicator window on the side of the master cylinder.
When fluid lever is lower the
lower
line, refill
with the same type of brake fluid.
Operating the ATV with a spongy brake lever can result in loss of braking, which could cause an accident.
Never operate the ATV with a spongy-feeling brake lever.
Always test brake lever travel and master cylinder fluid level before riding. When squeezed, the lever
should feel firm. Any sponginess would indicate a possible fluid leak or low master cylinder fluid level,
which must be corrected before riding. Contact your dealer for proper diagnosis and repairs.
