EFI trouble shooting

●

Measure the coil resistance after EFI parts cool

down.

●

Make sure the connectors are clean and tight,

and see if it got burned, wore or any other damage.

Damaged wire or bad connection will cause the

trouble often comes out and make the EFI system

running unstable.

●

If cable damaged or old. Replace the cable.

●

Open every connectors [A] to see corrosions, dirt

or damaged.

●

If the connectors has corrosions or dirt.Clean it

carefully. If the connectors got damaged. Replace the

connectors and makesure well connected.

●

Check the connection. Use the wiring diagram to

see the trouble point.

●

Connect the hand tester at the end of line.

●

Set the hand tester on X1

to see the

resistance.

●

If the resistance is not 0

. Means the line has

trouble. Replace the main cable or auxilary cable.

●

If the cable [A] both side too far. Use a connect-

ing line [D] connect [C] side to ground [B] and check

another side [D] and [E] connection. If the wire got

trouble. Repair or replace the wire.

●

When check the wire [A] short cutting open one

side [B] to see another side [C] and [D] connection. If

connected. Means the wire got short cut. It needs to

be replaced.

●

Repeat the testing work again and again to find

the trouble point more accurate.

●

If the wire or connectors has no trouble. The EFI

part may be next.Use input and output voltege to test

EFI part. But it cannot test ECU itself.

●

If the trouble comes out. Replace the trouble

EFI parts. If the wire, connector and EFI parts are all

OK. Replace the ECU.
