Two RS-232 Serial I/O Ports (COM1 and COM2).
The serial
ports are located on the left side at the back of the autosampler. The
COM1 port is the communications interface between the ASX-1400
and the analytical instrument’s host computer. The COM2 port
connects the autosampler to other external devices, such as an
autodilutor.

Optional 5-Channel Input/Output (I/O) Auxiliary Port.

USB Option.
The ASX-1400 comes standard with a USB port. This
port can be used to interface the ASX-1400 with the host computer.

Stirrer Speed Control.
The control knob can either be set at a
factory set speed or control the stirrer speed to optimize mixing of
the sample.

Pump Speed Control.
The control knobs can either be set at a
factory set pump speed or control the pump speed to optimize rinse
flow. There is two control knobs to control the main and auxiliary
pumps.
The following standard components are also shipped with the ASX-1400:
• External Desktop Power Supply
. The input rating is AC 100V-
240V, 3.2 A, with an output of DC 28V, maximum 4.6 A.

Sample Probe Kit.
The kit includes the sample probe. The sample
probe fits into the Z-Drive assembly.

Serial Interface Kit.
The kit includes DB9F port adapters for host
computers with normal AT-style DTE serial ports, and a 1.828-meter
modular cable. Depending upon the model your system may be
equipped with a USB cable.
