Operation
Before first use
READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE FIRST USE!
The first run should be without load; only with water.
Loading the autoclave
•
Fill the chamber with 1 to 1.5 litres of distilled water. (if demineralised, mix with tap water)
ATTENTION: No demineralised water from an ion exchanger, it causes pitting, if only this is available,
mix with tap water (approx. 1/3)!
•
Place the instrument plate, container or basket in the chamber and insert the load. It is important
that the steam can circulate freely.
•
ATTENTION: No stainless-steel parts may come into direct contact with the chamber - causes pitting!
Do not autoclave tightly sealed containers (especially glass bottles) since there is no pressure
compensation.
Close and Locking
•
Turn the orange knob on the lid handle to the "open" position.
•
Open the exhaust steam tap (turn the black knob counterclockwise).
•
Connect the hose to prevent danger from hot steam or water.
•
Place the lid on the chamber in such a way that the arrows on the lid and in the middle of the
handles are aligned. Then turn the lid clockwise until the lid and chamber handles are aligned.
•
Turn the orange knob to "closed" (= lock).
•
Set the red drag pointer on the pressure gauge to " O".
•
Adjust the pressure control valve to the desired temperature by turning the valve cap as far as it will
go. Depending on the valve: for 125°C / 115°C turn counterclockwise, for 140° C / 121°C turn
clockwise. Never open the small screw!
•
Adjust the temperature at the regulator knob according to the valve.
•
Switch on the device with the green on/off switch.
Long-term cycles of more than two hours may result in dry boiling and overheating.
The autoclave will be damaged.
