Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of the CertoClav CV-EL.
The CV-EL is a classic among our laboratory autoclaves. It impresses with its sturdy construction and
simple operation. It belongs to the class N steam sterilizers; the venting is done by a flow process.
The device is controlled by a valve. It is available in two versions, each with two temperature levels. You
can choose between 115/121°C or 125/140°C. These are set with the control valve in the middle of the
lid. The valves cannot be interchanged, as the thermostat of the unit is adjusted and set to suit the valve
in question.
The device has been manufactured using modern manufacturing methods and has been 100% tested by
our quality control department. The device and all parts not subject to wear and tear are guaranteed for 2
years from the date of purchase. Deposits and discolorations result from the test runs carried out. No
warranty is given in case of improper use, e.g. if the charge contains corrosive material.
The CertoClav CV-EL is a technical device and requires certain expertise in operation to achieve error-free
results. Please read this manual to learn about all possibilities and handling.
