4.3.6 Description of the SPMB-16DIO module
To simplify the management of the platform configuration and the protocol definition, the Spider67
Mobile module is defined as 0 ~ X in the standard communication protocol of the IoTHub.
NOTE
This X is not a fixed value for all application modes, the value depends on the
number of final extensions. By default, the gateway already occupies the first two
places. Thus the first upper port 0...3 is module 0 and the lower 4 ports 4...7 are
module 1.
Here, one digital module stands for one slot, i.e. the gateway can use 6 digital
expansion modules.
With analog modules one port stands for one module, i.e. the gateway can use 6
analog ports.
The application platform receives the current configuration of the hardware via an IoTHub agent,
making the commissioning of the device much easier.
