6.2.4 Start and Checking Operation

Start Windows®.

. After Windows® has completely started,
connect power cord from the AC adapter to
the balance, when “oFF” is displayed, press
the
[POWER]
key. The mass display appears.
Turning ON the balance before Windows®* is completely activated may cause
incorrect operation.

. Open the “Note pad” accessory in Windows®*
(or start the application you wish to use).

. Press the
[PRINT]
key of the balance.
Verify that the numeric value displayed on the
balance appears at the cursor position on the
screen of computer. The effect is the same as
typing the value from the computer keyboard
and pressing the ENTER key.
Characteristics indicating the unit of measure
are not sent to the computer.
To output date and time from the balance, press and hold the [
PRINT]
key for
about 3 seconds.

Test combination with Auto Print function,
if youwish to use it. (Refer to 13.3)

. End the operation using the standard close
or exit procedure.
