Safety Precautions

• Please read this section carefully before usage in the prescribed manner.  The precautions given here deal with serious

safety issues. It is , therefore, of the utmost importance that they are observed in full.

• The meanings of safety-related symbols are as follows.

1 “Personal injury” indicates a hurt, a burn or an electric shock which does not require hospitalization or going to the

hospital for a long term for treatment.

Installation of this accessory part should be per-
formed either by personnel from the dealer where it
was purchased or by specialist installation techni-
cians.

• Incorrect installation by unqualified personnel can

result in electric shock, fire or abnormal operation.

Reassembling, repair, or modification of this acces-
sory part is strictly forbidden.

• Failure to follow these directions can result in inflam-

mation, earth leakage or abnormal operation causing
electric shock or injury.

Secure grounding is needed.

• If earth is not connected, an electric shock may be

caused in trouble or earth leakage.

• Connection of the earth should be performed either by

personnel from the dealer where it was purchased or
by specialist.

Never insert metals such as a pin or wire into a hole
or clearance.

Do not install in a location where flammable gasses
may be present.

result in electric shock, fire or abnormal operation.

 CAUTION

Avoid exposing the controller to water.

• It causes an electric shock or power leakage.

Avoid to use the controller in a dusty place.

• It may cause a fire.

Avoid subjecting the controller to direct sunshine or
high humidity.

• Inside temperature rises and it may cause a fire.

Away from TV and radio set

• Failure to follow these directions can result in turbu-

lence of image or noise.  Set TV or radio set 1m or
more apart from the controller.

Avoid operating the switches of operation part with a
sharp object.

• The sheet may be broken and may result in a trouble.

In maintenance work, be sure to turn off the power.

• An electric shock may be caused.

Maintenance

• When an abnormality is discovered during

maintenance, turn the power switch off.

• Avoid cleaning the operation panel with ben-

zene, thinner or a chemical duster.  Otherwise,
the surface may become discolored or the
coating may be peeled.

Do not blow spray-type
synthetic detergent directly
because it causes an earth
leakage or electric shock.

• When the display panel or

dirty, clean with a soft cloth
containing soapy water and
dry using a dry soft cloth.
