Connect the Load Cell Cables
Cardinal Scale’s ARMOR® Portable Digital Truck Scales are connected together with a daisy-
chained CAN (Controller Area Network) cable. The load cell connection loop can begin at any
load cell, and may continue clockwise as shown below or counter-clockwise if preferred. In the
example shown below, note that there is not a connection between load cells 4 and 6.
NOTE:
Be sure to install the end node terminator on the load cell at end of the loop as shown.
1.
Remove the cable trays and position the load cell cable out of the way to gain access to the
shipping bracket.
2.
Remove the bolts securing the shipping bracket, and then remove the bracket. Store the
bolts and brackets in a convenient location.
NOTE: The shipping brackets must be re-installed before transporting the scale.
Remove cable tray to expose shipping
bracket, load cell, and load cell stand.
The shipping bracket secures the load cell
to the load cell stand.
