“Communications
Mode” COMMUNICATIONS MODE When the lid is open and the serial
communication cable is plugged into
the AED.
“Service Required” SERVICE REQUIRED Occurs after the self-tests determine
that the AED is not functioning
properly. The prompt “SERVICE
REQUIRED” will be heard when the lid
is opened. The red SERVICE indicator
will illuminate and “SERVICE
REQUIRED” will repeat until you close
the lid. After closing the lid, an alarm
beep will be heard until the battery is
removed or becomes completely
depleted.
