4. On the control panel, press SETUP to exit.
5. Disconnect the water filter inlet quick-connect from incoming
water supply line. Figure 7.4.
6. Connect the accessory hose to the water filter inlet tube.

7. Direct the hose into the container.
8. Open the blue-handled air bleed valve to drain the water
from the filter housing. Figure 7.6
9. Using the filter wrench, loosen the water filter housing by
turning it left. Figure 7.7
10. Continue to rotate by hand until the housing slides off.
11. Rotate the filter 1/2-inch towards the left to unlock the filter.

12. Pull the filter downward to remove.
13. Discard filter in accordance with institution guidelines.
14. Do the following to insert the new water filter:
a. Align the knobs on both sides of the filter with the
openings on the housing cap and push the filter
upward into the housing cap.
b. Rotate the filter to the right to tighten.
15. Clean the filter housing using soap and water and then
rinse thoroughly.
16. Apply an NSF-approved silicone lubricant to the housing
O-ring to aid assembly and sealing.
17. Re-attach the water filter housing.
Hand tighten only. Do not use the filter wrench to
tighten the housing.
18. Remove the accessory hose and reconnect the water
inlet line.
19. Close the blue-handled air bleed valve.
20. Slowly open the main (external) water supply valve.
21. Complete the following additional procedures immediately
after replacing the internal 0.2-micron absolute water filter:
a. Purge air from the on-board .2 micron water filter
housing (for instructions, see Periodic Maintenance ).
b. Disinfect water lines (for instructions,
see Additional Operation Functions ).
22. Record the date of change in the log.
