Reader Tamper
A reader tamper alarm can be created if PIN 1 (D0 Wiegand) and PIN 8
(Ground) at reader ports are shorted on the board. To monitor a reader
tamper, connect normally open switch at the back of the reader which can
short out those pins, so if someone pulls the reader from the wall, the switch
will close and activate this output.
Cabinet Tamper
Panel-tamper output can also be activated if there is a cabinet-
tamper alarm input present. To enable cabinet tamper move JP7 to
the enabled position (bottom 2 pins). If Cabinet tamper is used,
both tampers on Reader “A” and Reader “B” will go on in case of
alarm. Maestro software will report Panel Tamper.
DOOR HELD OPEN OUTPUT
If a cardholder is granted access by either a card or an exit button usage and
the door is held open longer than the permitted door-held-open time
programmed from the host PC, the door-held-open alarm occurs (reader
beeps to notify users, first is a pre alert beep, followed by a solid beep) then
this output will be activated. The message is also transmitted to the host PC
if the panel is online.
ALARM SHUNT OUTPUT
This output will be activated when a user is granted access by using a card or
exit button. It can be used to bypass external alarm points.
