Regular Dialing

Enter the fax number using the numeric keys

press [Set].
If you enter an incorrect destination, press [Clear]
to delete it. Or, press [Delete]
to delete the last number you entered.
• You must enter the second fax number within five seconds of entering the first
one. After that, all subsequent fax numbers must be entered within 10 seconds
of each other. If you wait longer, the machine automatically begins scanning the
document for sending. If you do not want this to happen, disable the <TIME
OUT> setting. (See “TX Settings,” on p. 6-9.)
• If you want to review the numbers you just entered, press [

] or [
e
] to scroll
through the numbers.

Press [Start].

When scanning is complete, the machine starts to dial the number.
•
The machine first sends the document to the one-touch speed dialing
destinations, then the coded speed dialing destinations, and finally to the
destinations dialed using regular dialing.
•
To cancel sending, press [Stop/Reset]

]. Sending to all destinations
specified in step 3 is canceled. You cannot cancel just one destination. After
canceling, the machine prints a MULTI TX/RX REPORT. (See “MULTI TX/RX
(Transaction) REPORT,” on p.7-6.)
• If a number is busy, the machine continues sending to the other destinations,
and then redials the number that was busy.
• If the machine’s memory becomes full while scanning your document, the
message <MEMORY FULL> appears on the LCD display, and scanning stops.
Press [Set] to release the document automatically from the ADF. If this happens,
divide the documents into several sections and send each section separately.
