Help
The “Help” dropdown found on the Windows CamRanger menu bar is used to access user
settings, registering CamRanger devices, and to access this help manual.
Settings-‐ CamRanger Preferences
The CamRanger preferences configure various user options related to saving, viewing, and
sharing images, and setting view options. The preferences are accessed by clicking “Help” on
the Windows menu bar and then selecting “Settings” on the dropdown.

Saved Image Directory:
As images are captured they can be saved into a specified
directory. If pictures from the camera’s memory card are downloaded to the Windows
computer they will be stored in this folder. Note that all images displayed in the main
view are saved by default to the photo directory on the computer.

Custom Prefix:
This will give the images taken during the session a unique title
preceding the image number when saved to the card.

Auto-‐Download Images:
When this feature is selected, the images will automatically be
saved to the directory during the CamRanger session regardless if the images are
