5. Cuide sus herramientas.
6. Verifique que las piezas móviles no
estén desaliñadas ni adheridas, que
no haya piezas rotas y que no exista
ningún otro problema que pueda
afectar el funcionamiento de la
herramienta. Si está dañada, haga
que le realicen un servicio a la
herramienta antes de usarla.
Muchos accidentes son causados
por herramientas que no tienen un
mantenimiento adecuado.
7. Use solamente accesorios
recomendados por el fabricante
de su modelo. Los accesorios
apropiados para una herramienta
pueden causar un riesgo de lesión
cuando se usan con otra
herramienta.
8. No utilice si las piezas están
partidas o desgastadas.
9. Verifique la rotación de la
herramienta antes de comenzar,
para que sea la correcta para la
operación que va a realizar.
10. No use la herramienta como una
buriladora ni trate de alargar o
agrandar agujeros torciendo la
herramienta.
Algunas maderas contienen
conservadores que pueden
ser tóxicos. Tenga especial cuidado
para evitar la inhalación y el contacto
de la piel con estos materiales. Solicite
y cumpla con toda la información de
seguridad disponible por parte de su
proveedor de materiales.
11. Guarde las herramientas fuera del
alcance de los niños y de otras
personas no capacitadas para
usarlas. Las herramientas son
peligrosas cuando están en manos
de usuarios inexpertos.
12. No la desarme. Llévela a un técnico
de reparación calificado cuando
necesite servicio o reparación.
El rearmado incorrecto puede dar
como resultado un riesgo de
choque eléctrico.
13. No la exponga a la lluvia, nieve
o heladas.
14. No la guarde en lugares donde la
temperatura pueda alcanzar
o exceder los 120°F (49°C), como un
cobertizo de metal para
herramientas o un auto en verano.
Esto puede provocar que las pilas
guardadas se deterioren.
INSTRUCCIONES GENERALES
Con el uso normal, a medida que las
pilas se van descargando, observará
una importante disminución en el
rendimiento de la herramienta.
Cuando la herramienta no sea capaz
de realizar la tarea fácilmente, es hora
de cambiar las pilas.
NOTA: La temperatura de las pilas
aumentará durante el uso y enseguida
después de usarlas.
Utilice únicamente pilas alcalinas de
repuesto nuevas (se precisan 4 AA).
No mezcle pilas viejas con nuevas.

FITTING AND REMOVING A BIT
USING EXTENSION BIT HOLDER
• To fit the extension bit holder, push
it into the bit holder.
• To fit a bit, insert it into the
extension bit holder.
• To remove a bit, pull it from the
extension bit holder.
• To remove the extension bit holder,
pull it straight from the bit holder.
SCREWDRIVER BIT SELECTION
Always select the correct screwdriver
bit for the screw being used. Use the
largest possible size that will fit into
the screw to avoid damaging the screw
or the bit.
Safety glasses must be worn
during operation.
Make
sure
work is held securely in a vice or
clamped in place prior to starting
drilling operation. Loose work may
spin and cause bodily injury.
Applying
too much
pressure may cause the bit to overheat
or break, resulting in bodily injury or
damaged drill bits. Apply steady, even
pressure.
Always
be alert
and brace yourself against the twisting
action of the drill.
DRIVING SCREWS
1. Be sure drill bit is securely gripped in
chuck.
2. Set FORWARD/REVERSE BUTTON for
clockwise rotation.
3. Start screw straight in hole with
fingers (when possible).
4. Place bit on screw, start drill and
exert pressure to drive screw.
5. As soon as screw has seated, release
trigger, and lift screwdriver from
screw.
TO REMOVE SCREWS
1. Install proper screwdriver bit.
2. Set screwdriver for reverse rotation.
3. Place bit in screw and start drill to
remove screw.
Maintenance
KEEP TOOL CLEAN
All plastic parts should be cleaned with
a soft damp cloth. NEVER use solvents
to clean plastic parts. They could very
possibly dissolve or otherwise damage
the material.
FAILURE TO START
Should your tool fail to start, check the
batteries.
