MC-III™ Panel Mount Flow Analyzer

Section 2

Section 2—Installation

The MC-III™ Panel Mount is fully assembled at the time of shipment and ready for installation. Before

attempting to install the MC-III Panel Mount, make sure the flow meter and magnetic pickup are installed.

Flow Meter/Magnetic Pickup Installation

Install the flow meter and magnetic pickup as follows:

Install the turbine flow meter in the flow line.

2. Lightly grease the threads on both ends of the magnetic pickup, taking care to keep grease off of the con-

nector contacts. If the connector is plastic, apply grease only to the end that threads into the meter.

Install the magnetic pickup in the flow meter.

After the flow meter and magnetic pickup are installed in the flow line, mount the MC-III Panel Mount

flow analyzer as described below.

MC-III Installation

The MC-III mounts in a standard ¼ DIN square opening (3.62” X 3.62”) in a vertical panel. To install,

reference the dimensions in

Figure 2.1, page 16

Studs (#6-32 X ¾”) and nuts (#6-32) with integral lockwasher are supplied for mounting the instrument.

Additional customer-provided mounting fasteners such as washers or clamps are required to secure the device

from the back side of the panel. The style will vary with the installation and the thickness of the panel used.
