Manual conventions
The following symbols are used on the product and throughout this manual:
This sign denotes hazardous voltages.
Instruction manual symbol. The instrument will be marked with this
symbol when it is necessary for you to refer to the instruction manual
in order to protect against damage to the instrument.
This sign indicates an earth grounded terminal.
WARNING
This denotes a hazard. It calls attention to a procedure, practice, or the
like which, if not correctly performed or adhered to, could result in
personal injury. Do not proceed beyond a WARNING sign until the
indicated conditions are fully understood and met.
CAUTION
This denotes a hazard. It calls attention to a procedure, practice, or the
like which, if not correctly performed or adhered to, could result in
damage to or destruction of part or all of the instrument. Do not
proceed beyond a CAUTION sign until the indicated conditions are
fully understood and met. Instruments that appear damaged or
defective should be made inoperative and secured against unintended
operation until they can be repaired by qualified service personnel.
