To configure the SmartNode for use as a WiFi AP:
Plug in the SmartNode to a power socket and switch it on. (
Note: The SmartNode
takes about 30 seconds to start up.
)
Connect the SmartNode to your modem-router using an Ethernet cable.
You are now ready to access internet on your laptops and smartphones via WiFi.
Simply turn on WiFi on your device and then connect it to the SmartNode using its SSID
and password (PWD 8 chars), both of which can be found on the label on the
SmartNode.
Changing WiFi settings
To change WiFi settings:
Open your PC/laptop’s web browser and enter “http://10.10.10.10/main.asp”.
Click the “More WiFi Settings” icon and you can change the settings as preferred.
Click “Apply” to commit the changes.
Click the “More WiFi Settings” icon and then the “Security” icon in the second row,
and change the settings as preferred. Click “Apply” to commit the changes.
Note: If necessary, you may need to adjust the wireless profile on your computer to match
the new settings.
