by another KBU 64 device which is connected to an ISDN line and the
Remote port of your PC. These ‘remote’ devices use the Remote Link,
which can only receive information, not send it.
However, PCNC can talk to remote KBU 64 devices as if they were
local, by dialling them from local devices. These local devices are
known as ‘Talkwire Units’, and are defined in the ‘Talkwire List’.
The diagram below shows a typical arrangement of Local and Remote
network devices connected to PCNC.
