(black) jump starting cable to
cathode terminal ("-") of the
charging battery.
d.
Connect the another clamp of
cathode (black) starting cable to
a grounded metal fixing point on

Tips
When connecting, keep your body
away from the battery and do not
allow the connecting cable to get
close to the engine components,
otherwise, it may result in personal
injury.
4.
Start the engine in the normal way,
and then step lightly on the
throttle pedal to keep the engine
running for several minutes at a
speed of 2,000 rpm.
5.
Disconnect the starting cable
carefully in the reversed order of
connection: disconnect the cathode
starting cable first, and then
disconnect the anode starting
cable.
If unsure about the cause of battery
capacity loss, please contact a BYD
service station to have the vehicle
checked.
If Engine Stalls during Driving
a.
Slow down and drive the vehicle to a
safe place.
b.
Turn on the hazard warning light
switch.
c.
Try to start the engine again.
If the Car Overheats
If the engine coolant thermometer
indicates overheating, or there is
power loss, loud knocking, or bang,
the engine may be overheated.
Please take actions as per the
procedures below:
a.
Drive away from the heavy traffic
road, park in a safe place, and turn
on the hazard warning lights, then
move the shift handle to the neutral
position and apply the parking
brake. Turn off the air conditioning
if it is operating. Then, place the
warning triangle in the direction of
approaching vehicles according to
traffic regulations.
b.
If there is coolant spouting out of
the radiator or expansion tank,
please switch off the engine. Open
the bonnet after the steam clears. If
no coolant is spouting, just keep the
engine running and make sure the
cooling fan is working; if not, please
turn off the power switch.
