Charge instructions
Charge safety warnings
■
Please carry out the charge in a relatively safe environment (such as, the conditions
away from liquids, fire sources, and etc.).
■
Do not disassemble or modify the charge device and related ports to avoid fire from
any charge fault.
■
Before charge, please ensure that there is no water or foreign objects in the charging
ports on the car, power supply and charge device, and ensure that the metal terminals
are not damaged or affected by rust or corrosion; if any, do not carry out the charge.
Because any improper terminal connection may cause short circuit or electric shock,
and even death.
■
If there is any fault in the car or charge device when charge, must stop the charge
immediately; it is recommended to contact BYD Auto Authorized Service Station.
■
To avoid serious personal injury, pay attention to the following precautions when a car
is charged:

Do not touch the charging port;
●
Do not charge or touch the car in a thunderstorm weather; otherwise, any
lightning strike may cause damage to the charge device and cause personal
injury.
■
After the charge is completed, do not disconnect the charge device with wet hands or
standing in the water; otherwise it may cause electric shock and cause personal injury.
●
Before driving, ensure that the charge device is disconnected from the charging
port in the car.
■
The medical or implantable electronic devices may be affected during charge process;
before charge, please consult the electronic device manufacturer.
Notes on charge
■
When SOC bar on the dashboard enters the red warning area, it indicates that the
power battery is low-voltage. It is recommended to charge the battery when the battery
power is reduced to the red warning area; it is not recommended to charge the battery
after it is completely exhausted, as it will affect the service life of the battery.
■
When the battery temperature is above 50
℃
or below -20
℃
, the car will not be
charged normally.
■
The household AC charge refers to the charge with AC charge connector provided in
the car. It is recommended to use dedicated 220V 50Hz, 10A AC line and power outlet.
