Automatic application function of the electronic handbrake
■
If the car is shutdown or “Start/Stop” button is turned to “OFF” position, the electronic
handbrake will be applied automatically, the indicator
on the dashboard will be
turned on and “Electronic Parking Activated” will be displayed.
■
When
the driving speed is less than 3km/h, the gear should be in “D/R” position; when
any door is opened, the gear should be in “P” position and the electronic handbrake
will be applied automatically.
Release the electronic handbrake manually
Press “Start/Stop” button to “OK” position or start the car, depress and hold the brake pedal
in “P” position and press the switch, until the indicator on the dashboard is turned off,
indicating that the electronic handbrake is released; “Electronic Handbrake Released” will
be displayed.
Release the electronic handbrake automatically when the car is started

If the car is started in the parking status, depress and hold the brake pedal, when
switching the gear position from “P” or “N” to the driving position “D” or “R”, the
electronic handbrake will be released automatically, the indicator
will be turned
off and “Electronic Handbrake Released” will be displayed.
■
When the car is started and the gear position is in the driving position “D” or “R”, if
applying EPB manually and depress the accelerator pedal to a certain depth, EPB will
be released automatically, the indicator
will be turned off, and “Electronic
Handbrake Released” will be displayed.
Note
●
Please follow the correct shifting operation, and must depress and hold the brake
pedal during the shifting process.
●
When the car is started in the first time, it can be driven after 3s.
●
When the shift level is switched from “P” position to any other position, only if
depressing the brake at 0.4s before shifting, EPB can be released. Otherwise, must
depress the throttle pedal to release EPB.
Ramp start (HHC)
When the car is equipped with ESP and EPB, and the shift level is switched from “P”
position to “D” or “R” position (driving position), ESP HHC (slope start) will action firstly; if
HHC is faulty, EPB in “P”, “D” or “R” position will not be released. If depress the accelerator
pedal, the car can be started easily.
