4 Putting into Service
4.1 Switch mode power supply connection
CAUTION
Damage to switch mode power supply unit
Failure to follow this information can result in irreparable faults to the switch mode power
supply unit and a short-circuit in the wall socket.
•
The mains socket you wish to use for the switch mode power supply must NOT be under
the bed. Otherwise, the moving mattress base frame may rip the switch mode power sup-
ply out of the mains socket during horizontal adjustments.
•
Before moving the bed, always hang the switch mode power supply on the head end
chassis using the cable holder. The cable holder is attached to the mains cable.
•
Before moving the bed, remember the length of the electrical cable; unplug the power
supply cable beforehand.
•
Take care when adjusting the height: Maintain a sufficient distance at the side between
the bed and the switch mode power supply to avoid damaging it. Use wall deflector rollers
if necessary.
1. Plug the switch mode power supply into a mains socket.
• The cable outlet must hang downwards (see picture).
