Keramik
and has to be assembled after delivery.
You will
get a corresponding instruction with the stove. Furthermore
you can find the instruction on: www.bullerjan.com.
The Bullerjan
B

in the basic version with steel convection
panels is shipped to you fully assembled.
If you have opted for a version with ceramics, the covering
has to be attached on site. The relevant installation
instructions are included in the packaging of the ceramics.
You can also download these instructions from
www.bullerjan.com.
Important:
I
n order to prevent soiling of the materials, you
should always wear gloves when installing the ceramic
cladding.
When you have positioned your stove at the desired place,
after installing the covers of ceramcis, only a few more
steps have to be taken:
– Use the integrated height adjusters in the pedestals in order
to ensure that the stove is leveled.
– Ensure that the connecting material is professionally installed,
so that the exhaust gases are fully discharged into the chimney.
– The combustion chamber of your stove is equipped with high-
quality vermiculite plates. Please make sure that these plates
have not shifted during transport and are flush on all sides.
2 Firing-/instruction manual
2.1 Initial commissioning
Please ensure that you followed the instructions as
described in section 1.4.
Burning-in:
The Bullerjan stoves are coated with high-quality,
heat-resistant paint, which only reaches its
completely solid
formation and odour nuisance during the first time the stove is
heating up. Please provide for adequate ventilation during this
process, by opening doors and windows. This process should be
completed after a maximum of five hours of a fully burning fire.
Caution hot:
During operation, the surfaces of the wood stove
are very hot! No contact must be made with the stove except at
the handle and the air-supply controller.
Although the door handle of the stoves is insulated, the heating of
the door handle can only be delayed and not prevented. Please
use the provided glove to touch the handle of the stove, when
operational.
Important:
The combustion chamber door must be kept closed
for safety reasons; exceptions are during ignition, during refueling
and in the cold state for ash removal.

Instructions for optimal igniton and operation
Step 1:
Open the combustion chamber door and insert two
logs of wood (each 15 cm long/max.1100 g) diagonally into
the combustion chamber (cut edge upward).
Step 2:
Stack up to a kilo of commercially available
kindle wood (3–5 layers) evenly on the already loaded
wood logs.
Step 3:
Now place 2–3 pieces ingnition aid on the kindle
wood and ignite these. Please close the wood stove door and
completely open the air supply control (as per 2.
1
.
1).
While the kindle wood burns, ember falls between the inlaid
wood logs, which as a consequence start to burn. This
process may, depending on the draught conditions of your
chimney and the specifics of the wood, take up to 35
minutes. An emberbed thereby slowly forms.
The combustion chamber door should not be opened
during this period, so that the wood stove can reach its
optimal operating temperature as quickly as possible.
Please note that in the heating-up phase soot and
possibly condensate may sediment on the viewing
window of the stove. This soiling can not be ruled out
completely when burning natural solid fuels and does not
constitute a defect.
Once this process has been completed and only a small
flame pattern is still visible, the wood stove has reached a
sufficient operating temperature. Now it can burn the
appropriate amount and quality of wood (see table above)
most efficiently.
