Note:
Dismounting drives will also restart the services for FTP, AFP, SMB, the print server, BitTorrent, WebAccess,
DLNA, and the iTunes server. Don't do this while files are being copied or accessed.
Dismounting from Settings

In Advanced Settings, click
Drives
.

Click
to the right of "USB Drives".

Select the drive to dismount and click
Dismount Disk
.

The "Confirm Operation" screen will open. Enter the confirmation number and click
OK
.

When the following message is displayed, it is safe to unplug the drive.
Note:
To remount the drive, unplug it and then plug it back again.
