You can encrypt passwords and files using SSL/TLS for secure FTP communication. First, open a shared folder's
settings and click

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
If a UPS (sold separately) is attached, the LinkStation can be automatically shut down for protecting data in the
event of a power outage.
