The four keys
SET
/
AUT
/
MAN
/
RESET
can be used to select the required operating
mode, which will be indicated when the corresponding red LED lights up.
•
If the LED indicating the selected operating mode flashes, it means that the device is
communicating through the serial interface and that it could execute remote commands,
including the mode change as well.
3.1 Reset mode (red RESET key LED)
•
The electronic control box does not execute operations but it just displays the status of
the voltages and the circuit breakers.
•
The opening and closing control outputs of the switches remain all open, hence allowing
for the manual control from the front side of the motor controls. If the emergency input
is activated, the unit will in any case order the opening of the switches.
•
The generator control output will set up for switching off the group.
•
The status alarms of the circuit breakers are disabled.
•
When an alarm occurs, it must be reset by pressing the RESET key. If you are already in
this operating mode, press the RESET button again.
3.2 Manual mode (red MAN key LED)
•
The manual mode allows the operator to electrically open/close the circuit breakers with
the special keys located at the front side of the device.
•
In this mode, the voltages are constantly monitored but the device just displays their
status.
•
When one of the control keys is pressed for at least 300ms, the electronic control box
changes the status of the circuit breakers from open to closed and vice-versa.
•
If a command is given to close a circuit breaker while the other is already closed, the unit
will initially open the other circuit breaker, wait for the interlocking time and then it will
close the required circuit breaker.
•
In manual mode, all the status alarms of the circuit breakers (disconnected and tripped)
are disabled. The anomalous condition is signaled on the LED but it will not be stored or
dealt with as an alarm.
•
It is possible to manually control the startup and shutdown of the generator by holding
down the key (
G
) MAN for 5 consecutive seconds. As long as the manual mode is kept,
the status of the generator will remain the one required.
3.3 Automatic mode (red AUT key LED)
•
In automatic mode, the device independently executes both opening and closing
operations of the circuit breakers as well as the startup and shutdown of the generator,
if any.
•
When the main line (MAIN) goes beyond the limits, after the set delay times, the device
disconnects the load from the main line and connects it to the secondary line (SEC),
thus controlling both the startup of the generator, if any, and the changeover times
between the circuit breakers.
•
When the main line falls within the limits, the device switches again the load on it and
determines the cooling cycle, if required, of the generator.
•
The automatic cycles of operation vary according to the type of application (utility-to-
utility, utility-to-generator).
