Configuring the settings for recording and other actions on movement detection
This function provides a pre-alarm or optimises the use of the hard disk, but does not replace an intrusion
detection system.
Step 1:
Configure the movement detection settings
Step 1-1: Click on the button in the taskbar to go to the main menu.
Step 1-2: Click on the “Parameter” button, then on the “Alarm” button in the submenu, and then on “Motion” in the
subdirectory.
Step 1-3: Select which camera is to carry out movement detection in the “Channel” dropdown menu.
Step 1-4: Activate recorder movement detection in the “Switch Channel” dropdown menu.
Step 1-5: Configure one or more detection areas by clicking on “Setup”
(see Note)

Step 1-6: Define the period during which movement detection remains disabled in the “Latch Time” dropdown menu.
Step 1-7: Configure the actions to be carried out when movement is detected:
- Define the movement detection sensitivity in the “Sensitivity” dropdown menu (increasing from 1 to 8).
- Check the “Alarm Out” box so that the output contact toggles when movement is detected.
- Check the “Show Message” box so that a warning message is displayed when movement is detected.
- Check the “Send Email” box so that an email is sent when movement is detected.
- Select “OFF, 10, 20, 40 or 60” to determine the duration of the buzzer (in seconds) when movement is detected.
- Check the “Full Screen” box so that the camera which is recording is displayed in full screen when movement is
detected.
