Operation
9.1 Threading in the material web.
WARNING
Threading in the material web when the production machine is
running
can lead to death or crushing, cutting, entrainment, winding, pull-
ing in, trapping and impacts of limbs.
►
Thread the material web into the compact web guide control
only when the production machine is stopped.
►
Make sure that the production machine cannot start again.
Procedure
The following points describe the procedure for threading the ma-
terial web in when the compact web guide control is equipped
with two edge sensors for web center-line guiding. With web edge
guiding (control on the left or right web edge), the position of the
respective edge sensor must be set.
1.
Stop the production machine and secure against being
switched back on.
2.
Press the
Center positioning
button on the control panel.
The pivoting frame moves to the central position.
NOTE
Manual adjustment of the pivoting frame
can cause damage to the spindle of the actuator.

Move the pivoting frame to the central position only using the
motor (
see step 2
).
3.
Undo the clamping screws on the sensor adjustment unit and
push the sensors outside in the direction of the arrow.
