6.5 Recommendations for installation
When installing the compact web guide control into the produc-
tion machine, please observe the following points:

Last fixed roll before the infeed roll
The wrapping angle of the web on the last fixed roll before
the infeed roll should be between 45° and 135°. The opti-
mum wrapping angle is 90°.

Sensor
The sensor should be positioned at the very end of the
first third of the outfeed path.

Last fixed roll after the outfeed roll
The wrapping angle of the web on the first fixed roll after
the outfeed roll should be between 75° and 105°. The
optimum wrapping angle is 90°. The roll should have a
non-slip surface to allow the corrected position of the web
to remain at the outfeed.

Web running direction
Observe the specified web running direction ! The web
running direction is marked by an arrow on the pivoting
frame.
