Taking the Calibration Measurements
After the pre-calibration alignment is complete, the next task is to measure the lengths between the three target nests.
These lengths will be assigned as the calibrated lengths, and compared against volumetric length measurements to
obtain the measurement error values.
Measure Target A, Counterweight at Positions B and C
If you have chosen to take several calibration shot repetitions, the KinAiry procedural guidance will explain the shot
order to be: A, B, C, C, B, A, A, B, C, etc. Note that the KinAiry software expects points to be recorded in this same
sequence when importing data. The first calibration point group moves from A to B to C. After taking point data in
target nest C, you should remove the retroreflector from nest C, and then reseat it directly back into nest C again, in
preparation for the next point group from C to B to A. This process gives fully independent calibration sets. Similarly,
when you get back to nest A, the retroreflector should be removed and reseated prior to heading back to B and C.
