Checking the Operation of Network Devices

point/router are not turned on

Can you ping your machine from
your computer?

Ping your machine from your computer using the IP address or the node name.



Successful: Your machine is working correctly and connected to the same
network as your computer.



Unsuccessful: Your machine is not connected to the same network as your
computer.

Contact the network administrator.

You can confirm the IP address or the node name by printing the machine
settings report.
