Using the PhotoCapture Centre™

from Your PC

(MFC-840 only)

Introduction

Insert a SmartMedia

™

or CompactFlash

™

card into your MFC.

In Windows

Explorer on your PC, double-click the Removable Disk icon.

The files and folders that are on the media card will be displayed on your PC screen.

The PhotoCapture Centre

™

feature requires a USB cable to connection to your

PC and will work only with Windows

98, 98SE, and 2000 Professional.

If both media cards are inserted at the same time, the PhotoCapture Centre

™

will

read only the card that was installed first. To have access to the other card, you
must first remove both cards, then insert the media card you wish to access.

Do not unplug the power cord, USB cable or remove a SmartMedia

™

CompactFlash

™

card from the MFC while the MFC is reading the card (LED is

flashing). You can loose data or damage the card.

While the MFC is printing from the PhotoCapture Centre

™

function, the PC can

not access the PhotoCapture Centre

™

for another operation.
