Sending a Fax

Scanning Adjustment

Contrast

If your document is very light or very dark, you might want to set the contrast accordingly. Use 
LIGHT to send a light document. Use DARK to send a dark document.

Insert the document, face down, in the feeder.

Sending Operation

Automatic Transmission

This is the easiest way to send a fax.

IMPORTANT:  Do not pick up the handset.

Insert the document face down in the feeder.

Enter the fax number using One Touch, Speed Dial, Tel-Index or the dial pad.

Press 

Start

. The machine starts scanning the document and the display indicates the job number 

and how much memory is available. Then the machine will start dialling if it is not sending, 
receiving or printing the other documents.

Standard:

Suitable for most typed documents. (

No

 lights)

Fine:

Good for small print; transmits a little slower than Standard resolution.

Photo:

Use when document has varying shades of grey; slow transmission time.

Colour fax:

Use to send the original in colour.

You can also change the Fax resolution to S.Fine, please see 

Multiple
