NOTE
If cables are to be routed down through the cable management comb, allow space below the brackets for cable
management
1. Locate the shelf brackets in the device.
2. Locate and loosen the screws on the adjustable ends of the brackets to allow for adjustment to rack depth.

3. 1/4-20 x 1/2 in. (1.27 cm) panhead Phillips screw with lock washer – for rails with round holes (4 on each end of
each bracket, 16 total)
4. 3/8 in. (0.953 cm) alignment washer – for rails with square holes (4 on each end of each bracket, 16 total)
5. 1/4-20 x 1/2 in. (1.27 cm) panhead Phillips screw with thread locker – for rails with square holes (4 on each end
of each bracket, 16 total)
6. Adjustable ends of shelf brackets
7. Intake air direction
8. Exhaust air direction
CAUTION
Use the screws specified in the procedure. Using longer screws can damage the device.
3. Position the shelf brackets with the adjustable ends on the intake air aisle side of the rack (see the previous figure).
•
For rails with round holes:
–
Position the left and right rack mount shelf brackets and attach them to the rack rails. Use eight screws with lock
washers per bracket (four on each end). Tighten the screws to a torque of 92 cm-kg (80 in.-lb.).

For rails with square holes:
–
Position the left and right rack mount shelf brackets and attach them to the rack rails. Use eight screws and
alignment washers per bracket (four on each end). Tighten the screws to a torque of 92 cm-kg (80 in.-lb).
