Separation of the upper and lower body

Carry out the following steps:

1.

Grip the body (2) in a soft-jawed vice.

2.

With a large adjustable spanner, unscrew the upper body (1) clockwise until
the upper body separates from the lower body.

Removal of the shaft bearing

Carry out the following steps:

1.

Use the curved scriber (SP 1) to remove both bearing inserts (22, 24) from
the lower body.

Note:

 This step can also be done after the removal of the set screw.
