Fig. 6

CAUTION:  Do not

use the slicer to

slice deep frozen food, bones, or you
may overload the slicer and damage
the blade. It may lead to personal
injury.

WARNING: Do not

use the slicer the

slice jelly-like or wet food. The jelly or
excessive juice may spread into the
electrical components of the motor
assembly. For juicer meats, allow
them to chill and then slice. Failure to
do so may lead to fire and electric
shock, personal injury or death.

Operating Instructions

CAUTION:

BLADE IS SHARP. HANDLE CAREFULLY.

6.  The food tray should be placed on

Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions

1.

Always

unplug the appliance and let

blade come to a

full stop

before

cleaning. Allow blade to cool before
removing.

2.  Adjust thickness adjustment knob to

setting “—” before cleaning.

3.  Once the blade has cooled, remove

the blade by inserting a coin in the
blade-locking screw and turning the
coin clockwise.
Once blade-locking screw has been
loosened completely, remove the
screw and push the blade from
behind with one hand. With the other
hand grip hole in center of blade.
(Fig. 7)

Handle blade carefully when

removing, the edges are very
sharp.

CAUTION:

Blade is sharp. Handle carefully.

Do not wash blade in  dishwasher.

•

Do not remove the lubricant of
the gears.

4.  The blade-locking screw, feeder and

blade can be washed in hot soapy
water and then dried carefully.  It is

not recommended

to clean the blade

in the dishwasher because the sharp
edges could damage the dish-washer
rack, which could lead to rusting.

Be

careful

when cleaning the blade, as it

is extremely sharp.

Do not

touch the

sharp edge with hand.

5.  The food press and food tray can be

put in the dishwasher for cleaning, but
it is recommended to hand wash
those items instead.

CAUTION

: Blade should not be left

to soak in water.

Trying to locate blade

under water is potentially dangerous.
We suggest that you wash, rinse, dry
and immediately install the blade back
on the unit.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The white, food-grade lubricant on
gears of the blade and motor assembly
is used to reduce friction and noise of
the gears. It should not be removed or
the life of the gears and cutting
performance will be reduced, and noise
of operation will also be increased.
In case of total removal of lubricant, a
thin film of food-grade, FDA approved
lubricant may be applied for
replacement of the original lubricant.

Never apply industrial-use or
automobile-use lubricant to the
gears as they may not be safe for
eating, and they may damage the
gears.
