6. INSTALLATION OF ROTARY MAIN CABINET
6.1 IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS
The standard equipment is designed to be connected to three-phase mains supply 400V 50/60Hz + neutral system TN.
The electrical connections must only be performed by qualified personnel.
Before carrying out any electrical or mechanical interventions on the rotary, the power to the installation must be switched
off, the main switch of the cabinet must be set to “OFF” and locked with a padlock.
When the main switch is in the OFF position, no hazardous voltage must be present from outside equipment in the
cabinet of the rotary. This important precaution applies in particular for the 4 auxiliary outputs, the 2 outputs for the
electric usher control and the 2 outputs for the vacuum pump control.
Before starting the installation for operation, all the settings and the overall functioning of the rotary as described in these
instructions must be checked in detail.
6.2 LOCATION
For reasons of safety, ease of operation and maintenance, the rotary must be visible from the automatic control cabinet.
Connections to the drive motors must not exceed 20 m in total and each connection must have a similar length.
6.3 ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY
The 300mA differential circuit breaker allocated to EDF subscribers must be the selective type (SI).
The cabinet power supply must be on a feed with a 30mA differential switch, protected against short circuits and surges
of 20A max. To avoid unnecessary tripping, the 30 mA differential switch must be fitted with a tetrapolar differential
switch or circuit breaker which is ”high power immunized” (Hpi), or “super immunized”.
6.4 CONNECTIONS
Comply with the wiring diagram supplied with the equipment; connections that require the use of shielded cables must
be respected (connection with motors, control panel, etc.).
Shielded cables to connect drive motors must be enclosed in special conduits separated from other cables. The shield
must be connected at both ends, to the motor and in the electrical cabinet.
