5.2 LAYOUT AND FITTING SUPPORTS 400 AND 800
1. Mark out radius (R8) on the ground.
2. After consulting Figures 5 & 6 in order to determine the position of Supports 400 and 800, mark an initial point on
the radius depending on the exit points of the geared motor supply conduits.
3. From this initial point and on each side of it, mark out the sectors (CC6) as many times as necessary so that they
join up on the other side of the starting point.
4. Based on these marks (CC6), and on each side of them, mark out the sectors (CC5).
5. Check that all the sectors are equal to dimension (CC5).
6. Drill each mark with a Ø16mm (0.63 in.) bit to a depth of 90mm (3.54 in.).
7. Allocate the counter-plates of Support 400 and 800 (see Figures 1, 2, 3, 6 & 7) to the drilled holes and temporarily
insert the FBN M16x220 anchor bolts.
8. With the aid of a cord tied to the post of the rotary shaft, line the counter-plates up with the center of the rotary
parlour, using the alignment notches (see Figure 6). Then, counter-drill the plates with a Ø16mm (0.63 in.) bit to a
depth of 90mm (3.54 in.).
9. Remove the counter-plates, blow through the holes to remove residues of concrete and tighten the FBN M16x220
anchor bolts to a torque of 100 Nm.
10. Using the level adjuster (see Figure 4) and a laser, adjust the height of the second nut (932mm [36.69 in.] from the
loading platform) and secure Supports 400 and 800 (see Figures 6 & 7).
