Checking that the Communicator Can

Connect to LATITUDE

Complete the following steps to check that the

Communicator can connect to the LATITUDE

System. You should do this if you have moved the

Communicator or if there has been a change in your

telephone service or LATITUDE Cellular Data Plan

subscription.

1.  Check that Communicator is plugged in and the

LATITUDE indicator is green.

2.

Press and hold the Status button on the back of

the Communicator for more than 3 seconds. The

Sending Waves light green in sequence and repeat

while the Communicator attempts to connect to the

LATITUDE system.

If both Collecting and Sending Waves light, you did

not press the Status button long enough. Pressing

the Status button for less than 3 seconds displays

the status of the last interrogation and the status

of the last attempt to connect to the LATITUDE

system.

3.  Watch the front of the Communicator.

The Sending

Waves should light in sequence and repeat

indicating a connection to the LATITUDE system is

in progress.

4.

Wait approximately 5 minutes for the connection to

complete.
