Mounting the second belt pulley
and the motor
Pre-assemble the motor:

Pre-assemble the motor (

with the two motor bars (

) as
close as possible to the function
module to permit problem-free
insertion of the second belt
pulley (

).
Mount the belt pulley:
X
Attach the belt pulley (
9
) to the
motor journal and guide into the
belt.
X
Adjust distance

to the
housing.
Tighten the set screw (

) to
tightening torque

in accordance
with Table 6 (

Fig. 14).
Tension the belt:
X
Unfasten the motor.
X
Screw suitable screws (

into the pre-tensioning thread
provided in both motor bars (
8
).
X
Pull the motor away from the
function module using the motor
bars. Set the belt frequency
using a frequency measuring
instrument (R913057897)
according to the notice inside
the housing and tighten the
mounting screws (
11
).
The preload force
F
depends on the size of the
unit, the motor, belt pulleys, and
on the torque. It is indicated on the
inside of the housing. If the timing
belt side drive is not positioned
horizontally on assembly, make
allowance for the dead weight of
the motor.
Tightening torques
