Producing the electrical connections
of the trigger electronics
Procedure:
1.
Connect the cable 1 684 465 388 to terminal X4 of
the trigger electronics.
2.
Connect the power supply cable 1 684 463 504 to
terminal X2 of the trigger electronics.
3.
Connect the power supply cable 1 684 463 503 to
terminal X1 of the trigger electronics.
4.
Connect the cable 1 684 465 499 (rotary encoder
connecting cable) and cable 1 684 465 590 to termi-
nal X8 of the trigger electronics.

If you are using the VPM 844 tester set, the connec-
ting cable 1 684 465 499 may be connected to the
terminal unit A11 of the VPM 844 tester set. In this
case, unplug the connecting cable from the terminal
unit.

Preparing the EPS

The following additional clamping parts are required
for adapting the CAMBox to the flywheel of the EPS:
Intermediate flange 1 685 700 140, coupling assem-
bly 1 686 401 024, protective hood 1 685 510 148
and guard ring 1 685 510 176.
Procedure:
1.
Attach the intermediate flange 1 685 700 140 and
coupling assembly 1 686 401 024 to the flywheel of
the EPS.
2.
Push the protective hood 1 685 510 148 onto the
clamping bracket and secure to the clamping bracket
of the EPS using the clamping screw.
3.
Push the guard ring 1 685 510 176 onto the protecti-
ve hood as far as the stop.
