Preparing the test nozzle holder ass-
emply (PDHK) holder
i
The PDHK is not supplied with the tester set
1 687 001 849.
i
A PDHK holder is required for assembly (e.g.
1 688 901 119).
Procedure:
1.
Fit the hose manifolds (Fig. 15, Pos. 6) with a sealing
ring (Fig. 15, Pos. 5) to the leakage connection of
the PDHK (Fig. 15, Pos. 2).
2.
Insert the PDHK in the base plate (Fig. 15, Pos. 3)
and secure with the retaining strip (Fig. 15, Pos. 1).
3.
Position the retaining strip (Fig. 15, Pos. 1) on the
guide pillar and secure with two hexagon socket
screws (M10 x 16) and washers.
4.
Push the PVC hose (Fig. 15, Pos. 7) onto the hose
manifolds.

4.1
Connecting the RS232 cable
i
If you are using the CRI 846/CRI 846H tester set, the
connecting cable is already connected. In this case,
please skip this section.
i
The connecting cable 1 684 465 388 is supplied
with the trigger electronics 1 687 023 369 (Special
accessory).
Procedure:
1.
When using the KMA 802: Remove the rear panel of
the PC protective casing.
When using the KMA 822: Remove the trolley rear
panel.
2.
Connect the RS232 cable (1 684 465 388) to the
COM 4 port (X61) of the KMA 800 PC unit.
4.2
Connecting the rotary encoder
i
The rotary encoder 1 687 224 963 and the corre-
sponding connecting cable 1 684 465 499 are not
supplied with the CAM 847 tester set. This section
can be ignored if use is being made of the VPM 844
tester set as this has an integrated rotary encoder.
i
Installation of the rotary encoder is described in the
conversion instructions 1 689 978 410.
Procedure:
1.
Remove the test bench cover to gain access to the
rotary encoder. The rotary encoder is attached to the
back of the EPS drive.
2.
Attach the cable 1 684 465 499 to the rotary enco-
der connection.
3.
Refer to Section 4.4 for cable routing.
