uSe oF the Fall arreSt device
D IDuring climbing, slightly lean into the fall
arrest device (horizontal pull = back support)
and keep it unblocked in this way.
• Climb up and down evenly and let the fall
arrest device run along.
• Leave the chest connection unloaded! Keep
your upper body in a vertical position. If your
upper body tips out of the normal position
(due to a fall, unconsciousness etc.), the ad-
ditional safety catch B will block immediate-
ly!
E Manual pushing up and blocking of the fall
arrest device and taking of a sitting/hanging
position in the safety harness allows the user
to reach an ergonomic resting position
quickly and safely.
Must not be used for positioning at the wor-
king place!
CAUTION:
The fall arrest device must be blocked before
you enter the harness!
• The locked fall arrest device can easily be un-
blocked by lifting the karabiner.
• When working in the ascent, always ensure
additional protection by a holding rope in ac-
cordance with EN358 (e.g. MANUSTOP) or
with a fall dampening rope in accordance
with EN 354/355 (e.g. BFD 1.5 m). Sidewise
slanting loads on the fall arrest device are not
admissible.
• Only get out of the fall arrest device after you
have reached a safe stand.
