Manual I-Boom 12

4.6 Suggestions for work on electrical assemblies.

Working Environment must be cordoned with only red and white warning tape and

warning chains or signs, if necessary (eg multiple activities in the workplace which could

cause danger)

Use only original fuses with specified current use.

Faulty fuses must not be repaired or bridged and may only be replaced by fuses of the

same type.

If a fault in the electrical power occurs the tool should be immediately put down and shut

off.

Work on electronic components or electrical equipment may only be performed by a

qualified electrician.

Parts of the tool where inspection, maintenance, and repairs are carried out, as described

must be disabled first.

For all loading parts first check if they are stress free.

The electrical equipment of the tool should be regularly inspected. Defects

such as loose connections and damaged cables due to overload must be

removed immediately.

Electrical appliances should be replaced immediately when reaching the

prescribed age.

If work is performed on live parts, a second expert must be present in case of an

emergency to activate the stop switch to remove power.

The second person should be familiar with resuscitation techniques, and in possession of

a first aid certificate.

Only use insulated tools.

Electrical connectors for subtraction and merge must always be de-energized (except for

any network connections, if no danger exists according to the safety precautions).
